Fate...lemme at it...
So what do you think of fate? Do you think some things were meant to happen? Do you think that you have all of the control in your life? Do you think there is a mapped plan out there with just a few choices and others will be blocked by events in your life? Interested in hearing what others have to say.

Those are some pretty broad sweeping stereotypical statments, car. It has not been my experience that conservative values lead to a good outcome, certainly not here in conservative cape breton where they stifle creativity and choke out any hope for harmony...and I know a lot of hippies who have found happiness and meaning in their lives, without the LSD.
To assume that all canucks are anti-war is a very big assumption. You might be safer saying we are anti-bush, but again that would be just my assumption.
where has your values gotten you? I'm simply curious.
Honestly, I refer to fate as all part of God's plan. And in that way, everything is meant to happen and what control we have in our daily lives is still part of some grander scheme.
In that way, whatever happens, "good" or "bad" (from our perspective) is leading to something better and much grander than we could ever achieve on our own.
Honestly, I think my 7 years at the university were solely there to pave the way for my wife to work there. Now that I've moved on (which had me sad for a few hours max), I'm feeling great about where life is taking me.
We're broke. We're tired. We're working very hard. But we both still have faith that this is leading to something great --and I have no idea just where it's going to take me.
